A big smile and happiness are what you would always see in me.
I grew up in South Africa in a town called Nelspruit, where I attended Hoërskool Nelspruit (high school). Throughout my upbringing I enjoyed being active and staying fit, so I was always in the gym or on the sports field. I was blessed to be able to do a variety of sports at different times of my childhood like; Gymnastics – in which I achieved provincial colours, Field Hockey, Swimming and Kickboxing.
After school I went abroad and worked onboard motor yachts for 7 years. While working on the yachts I had many great experiences. One being in my first year, a friend offered me and another to join them to embark on an Atlantic crossing. We started off in Portugal to Tenerife, on to El Herro and then all the way over to Antigua, on a 12-meter sailboat. This adventure is a story that will always stay close to me.
Moving on a few years while still onboard the motor yachts, I met the man of my dreams in a shipyard in Italy. He is from Northern Ireland and after working together for four years at sea I left the maritime life to finally pursue my childhood dream of working in the fitness industry.
Now I get to do what I’ve always wanted to do, which is helping people achieve their fitness/mobility and/or flexibility goals by being a qualified Personal Trainer, Pilates Instructor and Sport Masseuse. Your flexibility plays a big part in your daily tasks. You could be very fit but constantly have back or shoulder or hip pain. I am here to help you get rid of that by working on your mobility and flexibility no matter your age. Even when you think you are old, you are not. All you need is a good stretching routine to feel alive in your own body and avoid injury.

When you come to my Pilates classes you have nothing to fear, I am here to help you. All my classes are beginners friendly and there will always be an easy, medium and hard option, it is up to you and your body to decide which option you want to take. You will always here me say ‘it is your body, you get to choose what level you want to do it at’ because some weeks we will feel great and are able to pick the hard option and some weeks we simply can’t, and that is okay!
You will find that I work in 6-week blocks, each block we will be doing a full body mobility while focusing on a specific area of our body for example – some blocks our focus will be on our lower back and others on our shoulders. Before a new block is about to start, I would ask everyone in the classes if there is a specific area they would like me to focus on next, so if you have been having knee pain and would like to work on it, I would base my next block on strengthening the knees.
